This is going to be good, word is that Tomorrow, October 1, 2008, unable to put together a House Resolution to condemn MoveOn's and NY Times, "General Betray Us" scandal, Pelosi and the House Democrats are going to introduce a House Resolution condemning Rush Limbaugh, use of the term "Phoney Soldiers" in and effort to deflect attention from MoveOn's and NY Times, "General Betray Us" and the Senate's MoveOn Democrats scandals.
The funny part is ABC News used the same terms to describe the same people, check out The Radio Equalizer:Two Days Earlier... In it the Equalizer points out:In an explosive new twist to the flap over Rush Limbaugh and the "phony soldiers" controversy, it has emerged that ABC News used similar language and the same context in a news segment that aired two days before his comments. As a result, serious doubt should be cast upon those who are pushing for the talk titan's censure.
Just in case he includes a transcript of the news story as well. If Media Matters would pay attention to someone other than Conservitive Commentators they would have known this. Media Matters, MoveOn, and the House Democrats need to get the facts straight before they go after Rush. They just can't get over that fact that they don't control ALL of the media anymore.
In fact, on Monday, 24 September, the network's Charlie Gibson introduced a segment reported by Brian Ross regarding a number of "phony veterans" now under investigation for falsely claiming to have served in wartime. One of those mentioned in the story is none other than Jesse MacBeth, the same fake soldier referenced by Rush during the program in question.
With congressional Democrats poised to introduce an anti-Rush resolution on Capitol Hill tomorrow, wouldn't they do well to first take a look at the real story? Otherwise, they may end up with egg on their collective faces.
And given this new information, how will the Soros- funded Media Matters crowd keep this faux controversy alive?
Concerned that the clip in question might soon disappear from ABC's website, your Radio Equalizer placed it on YouTube yesterday as a precaution.
On one more time, since they don't like to have it pointed out, here are the names of the Senate's "BE TRAY US" 25 or Senators that voted against the Senate measure to condemn, MoveOn.Org and the New York Times.

Stop Global Warming, Build A Nuclear Power Plant?
The Christian Science Monitor is reporting that More nuclear power plants are on the way. After 30 years with not one single filling, over the next year an one half, Government Regulators are expecting applications for up to 27 new plants. A virtual renaissance in the nuclear power industry. While long term storage and waste transportation issues remain, nuclear power plant generate virtually no greenhouse-gas emissions.
I for one can't wait to see how the Greenies (Earth Conservationists) that for years has been telling us for years that Global Warming is going to kill us all, are going to feel about these new plants that are undoubtedly far more CO2 friendly than the traditional coal or oil fired plants.
On average these new reactors are going to be larger than the United States existing 104 reactors. But we have learned allot about Nuclear Power over the last 30 years so they'll also be safer and require less maintenance.
It won't help the Greenies, that these new plants will be assisted by federal loan guarantees. The article states:
Are the Greenies so concerned about Global Warming that they will forget about their longstanding hatred of the Nuclear Power industry. I bet not..."Clearly, [nuclear power companies] are not so confident or they wouldn't want the federal government and taxpayer to be guaranteeing the loans," says David Schlissel a longtime nuclear industry analyst with consulting firm Synapse Energy Economics in Cambridge, Mass.
The industry says it needs the aid to get nuclear power rolling again.
"Yes, we need some help and assistance getting these large projects off the ground," says Paul Genoa of the Nuclear Energy Institute (NEI) in Washington. "This will always be labeled as subsidies. But one person's subsidy is another person's incentive. These are the first nuclear power plants to be built in years and there's a role for government here."
Also, loan guarantees don't affect taxpayers unless those loans are defaulted on, he points out.
Under the Energy Policy Act of 2005, the industry already is getting an estimated $12 billion in tax breaks and other largess. The Price-Anderson Act, a law dating from the 1950s, caps the industry's liability at about $10 billion in the event of an accident, even though studies show that a major nuclear meltdown could easily run 50 times that.
Now, the Senate version of a new energy bill includes a provision that could provide tens of billions of dollars more in federal-loan guarantees. On Tuesday, the Energy Department announced it would provide up to $2 billion in federal risk insurance for the first six new nuclear-plant projects, protecting them against losses from regulatory or legal delays.
"In my view, these kinds of taxpayer subsidies are vital to the industry, and they wouldn't be building any of these new nuclear plants without them," says Doug Koplow, president of Earth Track, a Cambridge, Mass., consulting firm that analyzes subsidies for all forms of energy, including biofuels.
The nuclear industry gets about $9 billion a year in federal subsidies, he calculates, trailing only oil and coal in federal energy aid. That amount could go far higher if companies were to begin defaulting on guaranteed loans, he adds.
The nuclear industry has already put Congress on notice that it could require loan guarantees of at least $20 billion for planned projects – and more later, NEI officials told The New York Times in July.
In fact, I'll bet that when these applications come up for review, they will abandon all thoughts of Global Warming and return to the precautions of Nuclear Catastrophe.
Stay tuned this may get interesting.

HsuGate Round 2 - Winkle Paw Goes Missing
The American Thinker in Hsu case figure Winkle Paw goes missing has brought an interesting fact to my attention. It appears the Clinton Curse is at it again, just when we have Norman Hsu "Safely" in custody. Winkle Paw, one of Hsu's donor stooges has apparently disappeared. And of course, the Mass Media has ignored this, so it is up to us in the "Alternative" Media to shame them into paying attention.
It amazes me that after all these years, after all the scandals, after all we have learned about the Clinton curse, the media still chooses to ignore the obvious purely out of dislike of Republicans.Flip Pidot, the go-to-guy on the Hsu scandal, notices that Winkle Paw seems to have vanished. Paw, as you may recall, is a close business associate of Norman Hsu and fellow big-bucks contributor to Democrats.
"Paw has served as everything from project analyst to CEO at a handful of Hsu's companies, including Components, Ltd., Next Components, Next Electronics, and CoolPowers (though that last one could've been a poor transcription of the word 'Components' by a Tom Harkin campaign staffer)."
A pretty important potential witness in case with great importance. But apparently he was not being sought. Flip continues:
"We also don't know for sure that Winkle has deliberately vanished. It could simply be that the authorities aren't looking for him (he's not listed as wanted in California). But if they're not hunting for him, maybe they ought to be. The Orange County investors haven't been able to reach him since the morning Hsu lit out for Denver. That was three weeks ago. If - let's say - Paw was on that train too, keeping his cool a bit better than his pill-popping partner, and if he had access to even a small fraction of the millions in liquid assets at Hsu's disposal, Winkle just may have winked out of this story for good."

Is The Defense Department Maintaining Security?
TechDirt is reporting FBI Investigating Unisys For Not Preventing US Gov't Computers From Getting Hacked.
Does this investigation by the FBI mean that the U.S. Defense Department is admitting here, that Unisys was potentially responsible for setting up and maintaining security standards on Defense Department computers. If that is the case, we all need to be afraid, very afraid.
These are the same people responsible for maintaining the security around our Nuclear Arsenal. If the Defense Department is incapable of maintaining their security on their owen computers what happens the next time (and there will be a next time) Chinese hackers access Defense Department computers, could make 9/11 look like an Ice Cream Social.
All this while our government ignores these security problems and are more interested in whether or not Iran's crazy president should be allowed to address a few equally crazy liberal faculty and students at Columbia University.
I think the reason they are more interested in other items is that they fail to recognize the seriousness of the threat, similar to congresses lack of interest in al-Qaeda prior to 9/11. As technology advances and level data concentration increases, the level of severity of these data breaches are likely to increase as well.
With this intrusion, we see the Chinese going from thefts of our technology to trying to gain active access to our command and control systems. And this isn't the first time we have detected breakins, Symantec reports, China ranks second behind the U.S. as far as malicious activity on the Internet as a whole. And earlier this week we found out that it was possible for hackers to "Burn Out" a power plant by causing an overload.
The U.S. Government needs to wakeup the severity of the security problems we are currently having and be made aware just how terrible they could get. Then government needs to get serious in mandating information security protocols on sensitive material both public and private.
Until they do, I know I'm going to sleep a little less secure at night, how about you?

Wake Up Libs, Your Candidates only want your money
What's a Lib to do, all the major Democratic White House candidates conceded during last nights New Hampshire Democratic Debate, Wednesday night that they are not going to guarantee to pull our combat troops out of Iraq during their potential administration. Not just the first month, the first 6 months, or the first year but their entire first term.
Here are the quotes from Fox News Story: Dems Discuss Iraq Withdrawal at New Hampshire Debate:
"I think it's hard to project four years from now," said Sen. Barack Obama of Illinois in the opening moments of a campaign debate in the nation's first primary state. So if they cannot promise that they would pull out the troops, then we can stop debating the issue and let the professionals in the military and the foreign service handle the problem, right???"It is very difficult to know what we're going to be inheriting," added Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton of New York.
"I cannot make that commitment," said former Sen. John Edwards of North Carolina.
Wrong, the Democratic candidates know that their base wants to get out of Iraq, and it is their base including the MoveOn.org crowd that are paying the bills, so they will continue to bad mouth the military, the brave Iraqi government officials who risk their very lives to serve and President Bush to keep those campaign bucks rolling in.
And they are rolling in, the anti-war mind numbed robots must have given up their Starbucks, because the leading three have already raised more money than in any other democratic presidential campaign in history, and we have another year or more to go.
For all of you anti war robots out there, here is why they cannot promise to bring the troops home, "BECAUSE THEY DON'T WANT TO BE BLAMED FOR THE BLOOD BATH THAT WOULD FOLLOW". Unlike in the days of the Killing Fields in Cambodia, any blood bath that would occur in Iraq would be televised worldwide, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
And the Democrats would not be allowed to deny responsibility as they did concerning the Killing Fields of Cambodia in the 70's. Warnings of what would happen have already been documented and broadcast worldwide. The U.S. cannot leave as long as there is not a strong government in place in Iraq to keep the peace between the factions, and repel foreign influences from Iran, Syria and Saudi Arabia.
So to all the anti-war libs out there, WAKE UP, YOUR CANDIDATES ARE LYING TO YOU! THEY JUST WANT YOUR MONEY! VOTE REPUBLICAN, at least they will tell you the truth about the war, even if you don't like it. Sphere: Related Content

First Principles - Fred Thompson
Fred Thompson has outlined the principles that will guide his administration if elected and I have to say I don't think I could agree with them more. Fred says:
Fred Thompson, speaks to the heart of the American Spirit within us all. I can think of few times that when the words of a political candidate has made me feel proud to be an American, and never has a candidate done so without winning election to the office they sought.Anyone who has heard me speak knows my firm commitment to what I call “First Principles.” These grow out of the documents of our Nation’s founding and the wisdom of the ages. They are core beliefs that guide my approach to the issues that are crucial to our Nation’s future. I believe in--
Individual Liberty . As Jefferson spelled out in the Declaration of Independence, our basic rights come from God, not from government, and that among these inalienable rights is the right to liberty. We must allow individuals to lead their lives with minimal government interference.
Personal Responsibility . The corollary to liberty is responsibility. No society can succeed and thrive for any duration unless free people act in a responsible way. All of us must take responsibility for our actions and strive to improve our own lives and to contribute to building a better society.
Free Markets . Free people are best equipped to order their own affairs, and the common interest benefits from and is improved by the aggregate success of all. We must reform our tax system, encourage investment, support entrepreneurial spirit, open markets abroad to American goods, and minimize burdensome government regulations to continue to expand the economy and bring increased wealth to all Americans.
Limited Government . Government must be strong enough to protect us, competent enough to provide basic government services, but limited by the delineated powers in the Constitution.
Federalism . Our Constitution innovatively guarantees our liberties by spreading power among the three branches of the federal government, and between the federal government and the states. In considering any action by the government, we must always ask two questions: is the government better equipped than the private sector to perform the task and, if so, what level of government (federal or state) ought to do it. Washington is not the seat of all wisdom. (More on Federalism)
Protecting our Country . The first responsibility of the federal government is to protect the nation and the American people. There is no more important task. We must have a strong and effective military, capable intelligence services, and a vigorous law enforcement and homeland security capacity.
Traditional American Values . A healthy society is predicated on belief in God; respect for all life; strong families centered on the institution of marriage—the union of a man and a woman; and self-respect and tolerance of others. While we are all free to live our lives in the pursuit of our own happiness, the government has a responsibility to respect the right of parents to raise their children and to promote the values that produce the strongest society.
The Rule of Law . We protect our liberty, secure our rights, and promote a just and stable society through the rule of law. We owe to ourselves and our fellow citizens our own adherence to the rules, but tough law enforcement and punishment for those who do not. A free and independent judiciary that interprets the law by adhering strictly to legal text and respects its limited role in our system of government is essential to our security and freedom, and we need judges who understand that role if we are to preserve our republic and freedom.
Conserving Our Nation’s Resources . Each of us is put on Earth for a limited period of time. We must always strive to ensure that the resources we use to lead our lives are here for future generations to enjoy and use as well.
We live in the greatest country on earth. We have been truly blessed. This blessing carries with it an obligation: to keep it that way and to leave this country at least as strong, prosperous, and united as when we entered it.
Fred has updated the concept of first principles of Government first coined by Thomas Paine in Dissertations on First Principles of Government way back in 1795.
Fred Thompson will be our next President. Sphere: Related Content

Education Vs Iraq - Where Are Our Priorities?
| U.S. GDP In Billions in 2007 | 14,000.0 | Per Year | Per Month | ||
| % of GDP | In Billions | In Billions | |||
| Estimated U.S. Education Spending In % Of GDP Per Earth Trends | 5.50% | 770 | 64 | ||
| Estimated U.S. Military Spending on Iraq In % Of GDP | 0.60% | 84 | 7 | ||
| Estimated U.S. Rebuilding Spending on Iraq In % Of GDP | 0.43% | 60 | 5 | ||
| Estimated U.S. Total Spending on Iraq | 1.03% | 144 | 12 | ||
| Education Vs Iraq (We spend 5.35 Times as much on Education) | 5.35 |
I got into a discussion on Iraq with a liberal friend of mine, and he complained to me, over and over again how bad it was that we were spending more money on Iraq than on education. At the time it didn't sound right, but I could not dispute his facts at the time so I let it go.
And from all that you hear from the Main Stream Media you would think he is right but since when can we trust what they say, after all according to them we've killed 600,000 Iraqis but when pushed, they can't substantiate one sixth that amount.
So I thought, I would look it up, and guess what, it's not even close. We spend at least 5.35 times as much on Education than we do on Iraq.
I wanted to be indisputable so where ever I could I used numbers published by either by the GAO (Congresses Investigative Arm) or the liberal bloggers themselves. For estimating education spending I used Earth Trends, a group responsible for estimating what percentage of GDP each country in the world spends on education.
So while spending on Iraq is significant in terms of GDP, roughly 1% this year, it pales comparison to what we spent in education per year (between 5.5% and 5.8% per year for each of the last 10 years). The U.S. spends more of our GDP on education than Europe at 5.3% or Japan at 3.7%.
So next time your liberal friends complain about our lack of education spending direct them here. For amount of complaining they do, you would think the numbers were reversed for sure.
Reality is for 1% of our GDP, I really think the investment we are making in Iraq is well worth the money, both for them and for the security it gives me and my family. I would just as soon keep the al-Qaeda, and Iranian bombers there instead of allowing them to come here.
Here's some more good news, you won't here from the Main Stream Media (can't give the Bush any credit for economy now can we), for the first time the estimated U.S. GDP has surpassed the 14 trillion dollar mark, this month, per the Financial Forecast Center.
Want to check my figures, here is the spreadsheet I used, unlike the Global Warming Crowd I checked my figures. Sphere: Related Content
Lets wipe out Ragweed in our time....
OK, the rain has finally fallen in Lees Summit, settling enough of the ragweed pollen to allow me to emerge from my Benadryl induced coma to resume writing on my blogs.
And I'm here to say the first presidential candidate that promises me to wipe Ragweed from the face of the earth, and means it, will have my vote. Even if it is Ron Paul or even Hillary Clinton. I'll even volunteer to pay my share of increased taxes to see it happen.
I know it's not PC to advocate the total destruction of a poor defenseless plant, but I say ragweed is far from defenseless, if it was defenseless it would have been wiped out long ago.
No, I'm not alone in my suffering, Millions of people, everywhere suffer from it's form of biological warfare, and I think that it gets worse each and every year. I dare a single environmentalists to do an ecological study and tell me what possible good ragweed does for humans, animals or even other plants.
I say we create a genetically engineered bug that will feed exclusively on ragweed plant, then release it to devastate the earths ragweed population. Once ragweed is wiped out, think of how much money will stop flowing into the coffers of the evil drug companies, doctors and klennex manufactures.
Thats right, destroying ragweed will save trees, far fewer klennex, maybe even help save the world from Global Warming. If we can cure cancer we can wipe out ragweed and end its biological war on us poor semi-defenseless humans.

The Real Reason Battle Bots Got Canceled

"Battle Bots" was a show that appeared a couple of seasons on the Sci Fi channel, in it homemade robots would battle it out gladiator style in a ring while surrounded by their adoring hoards. Weekly, mayhem ensued for sure, but no humans or animals where hurt, and the winners of each week advanced to the next level of competition until a final victor was crowned.
But even though, each year the Bots got more and more deadly, not once did any of the Bots take steroids or commit suicide, unlike their human counterparts. Looks like from the photo above that "Battle Bots" have continued to get stronger and deadlier since their cancellation.
The "Battle Bot" above is just one of many, that enthusiasts launch against each other in actual Battles. Here is a quote from the R/C Tank Combat website:
The R/C Tank Combat hobby is dedicated to the battling of radio-controlled large-scale models of tanks, armored cars and artillery. All combat is waged using standard, readily available paint ball equipment, allowing realistic and safe tactical battles. If I had a bit more time and money, I might be tempted to check into this further. It might be fun to chase the neighbors, and maybe some of the other local bloggers around with one of these, even if all they shoot is paint balls. Sphere: Related Content

Fred Thompson on Hillary Care 2.0 (Enough To Make You Sick)
This Blog is starting to look like all Fred all the time but I just can't resist this one. In this video, Fred spells out as only Fred can, what is wrong with Hillary Care 2.0.
I wasn't old enough to have ever seen Will Rodgers in person but from the films I've seen of him, Fred reminds me of Will Rodgers with his homespun humor characterizing Politics in Washington. Fred connects with his audience and makes them feel at ease, more than any political candidate I have ever met. The line he gives at the end of the video above is priceless, worthy of Will Rodgers himself.
These first couple of weeks have been something, and if they are any indication of how the rest of the campaign will go, Fred will be the next president.
The Reid/Pelosi Congress Did It Again, Another New Low
Looks like Congress is paying the price for their shameful anti military, General Petraeus witch hunt they concluded just last week. In the most recent Reuters Poll, Congress has been able to accomplish yet another first. They beat the record that they set just last month with an approval level of just 14 percent, this month they have achieved an approval level of 11 percent.
A year ago the Main Stream Media was browbeating us with the terrible approval ratings that the Republican lead congress had at the time at an astoundingly low 27 percent.
Can you imagine the howls that the Mainstream Media would be putting out if President Bush's approval rating was 11 percent instead of it's current level of 29 percent, which is down from the 30 percent rating he set in March.
I guess President Bush and the Republicans can take heart, they have/had roughly three times the number of supporters that the Democratic run Congress currently enjoy. A fact that is seemingly lost by the Mainstream media in their selective memory.
A bit of good news from the Reuters Poll, Fred Thompson (@ 24 percent) has closed to a statistical dead-heat with perpetual Republican poll leader Rudy Giuliani (@ 26 percent).

Sneaky Congress Critters Working on Immigration and H-1B Again
Failing to pass large scale immigration overhaul due to stiff resistance of the American Public, the proponents of immigration overhaul have not given up, bowing to the desires of the American Public. No, now they are working quietly, trying to sneak some of the most unpopular parts of their ill fated "Immigration Reform Bill" through Congress by attaching them to other bills vital to the country.
For example Sen. Durbin, D-Ill, is planning to propose Amnesty be given to children of Illegal Immigrants who entered the country at a young age. To qualify, they have to be in the country for at least five years, have a high school education, and over the next 6 years spend a minimum of 2 years in college of in the military, at which time they have an new designation of Legal Permanent Residents, a step toward citizenship.
Senator Durbin plans to attach the amendment to the defense-funding measure slated to come before the Senate this week. For more examples of the underhanded tactics of the "Immigration Reformers" take a look at the LOS ANGELES TIMES: Quiet fight for immigration overhaul by NICOLE GAOUETTE.
The article continues:
Feinstein has championed an AgJobs program with increasing intensity as farms have struggled to find enough labor. The program would allow up to 1.5 million agricultural workers to gain legal status through a "Blue Card," provided they did farm work for a certain number of days every year. Those who met the criteria could apply for legal permanent resident status after five years. We need to maintain vigilance, looking for what underhanded measure the sneaky Congress Critters might try next to get immigration and H-1B legislation through Congress no matter how unpopular it is with the American Public. And we call this a Democracy.
The bill's prospects are uncertain. Feinstein lost a crucial AgJobs ally when Sen. Larry E. Craig, R-Idaho, recently announced he would resign because of the scandal surrounding his arrest in a Minneapolis airport restroom.
In July, Feinstein and Craig had won a commitment from Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid, D-Nev., that the AgJobs proposal would be considered, possibly as an amendment to the farm bill expected to be debated this fall.
"We know that virtually all of the agricultural work force is undocumented," Feinstein said. "Today there are shortages . . . AgJobs is a pilot program that would provide a reliable workforce to plant and harvest crops in this country."
Sessions is actively campaigning against both Durbin and Feinstein's initiatives, arguing the proposals eventually would give more than 4 million illegal immigrants citizenship.
Sessions said he would support a plan under discussion among Republicans, including Sen. Kay Bailey Hutchison, R-Texas, to create a version of AgJobs that would limit workers to short-term stays in the U.S. and not provide any kind of longer term legal status.
If Congress is smart and wants to get the support of the American Public and we need the additional workers as they tell us. Congress should advocate increasing the number of people allowed to immigrate into the country under the existing legal Immigration System. Then use those increased numbers to replace the all those in our country illegally, who do not have enough respect for our Country, it's borders and it's government to follow our laws.
It is those who have obeyed our laws and stood in line waiting for their chance to become Americans who deserve to become Americans, not those who have crossed the border illegally. Sphere: Related Content

Paging Agent Mulder, Peruvian village falls ill after hit by Meteorite
In something that sounds like a plot straight out of the XFiles. People have developed a mysterious illness in southern Peru, in the high Andes, near the Bolivian border, after a meteorite crashed near their village.
It happened around midday on Saturday, when villagers were startled by a fireball and then an explosion that many thought was some type of an aircraft crashing.
Later, residents began complaining of headaches, vomiting and a "strange odor," coming from the crash site. Then seven policemen ,who had been dispatched to the site to check on the reports also became ill before being hospitalized.
If I were those people in the photo I don't think I would be getting that close to the crater, but of course I've see XFiles and the War Of The Worlds movies and they probably haven't. I'll let you know if their are any reports of giant tripods striding through the high Andes.
